Job Description:
Oversee royalty accounts on behalf of recording artist’s music publishers and songwriters. Prepare participation accounting for bands. Correspond with management, labels, accountants and artists. Music publishing royalty administration including licensing, copyright and clearances. Record label royalty administration including royalties, licensing and clearances. Summarize artist, producer and songwriter contracts. Handle desk audits of royalty accounts and coordinate with management on any audit recommendations
Requirements:
• 4-year college degree in business, finance or music business preferred
• 3-5 years industry experience in royalties, finance, audits or any combination of
• Excel, Word, Datafaction, CounterPoint
• Strong math and financial analysis skills
• Knowledge of the music business to include licensing, royalties and current developments in digital media
• Familiarity with HFA, ASCAP, BMI, SESCAC and U.S. Copyright registrations
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
