Job Responsibilities:
- Review of federal and state tax returns for corporate and pass-through entities, and related owners
- Running tax engagements, including scheduling staff, budgeting engagement hours, and billing and collection
- Training and developing professional staff, both on-the-job and through firm CPE courses
- Research and developing solutions to complex tax issues
- Communicating project status to team members
- Direct contact with clients to discuss and resolve tax-related tax matters and problems
- Assisting in the preparation of articles for the quarterly firm newsletter, “The Bottom Line”
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or graduate degree in taxation (MBT or MST)
- Substantial experience working with pass-through entities (LLCs, partnerships, LPs and S-Corps), corporations and individuals
- Three to five years of experience in public accounting depending on the nature of the candidate’s experience
- Solid tax research skills
- Pursuing or possesses an active CPA license
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in working with teams, managing multiple engagements and developing professional staff
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Salary: 75,000 – 90,000
