New Opportunity - TAX DIRECTOR - Publicly Held Company in LA 180k - 225K

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
This position will be responsible for the calculation of the effective tax rate and all aspects of the recording and reconciliation of the tax accounts in the financial statements provided by over 80 countries as well as all SEC filings.  The position will work with the Financial Planning & Analysis group to coordinate and develop the companies legal entity tax forecasting. The position will be responsible for the management of the foreign tax credit calculation and sourcing. In addition the position will ensure compliance of all inter-company agreements.


DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 
  Calculate the global effective tax rate including working with regional staff, approximately 80 foreign finance managers, and the corporate controller group.
  Forecast the worldwide tax rate including coordinating with the Financial planning and reporting group on the forecasting process.
  Preparation and review of the reconciliation of the companies taxes payable, deferred tax balances, valuation allowances and current tax expense.
  Prepare analysis under tax accounting standards including FAS 109 including memorandum analyzing application of accounting standards.  Assist with reporting of reserves and tax audits.
  Responsible for SEC reporting for all tax related entries and disclosures including supporting documentation for the tax accounts or valuation allowances required.  Analyzes book to tax differences.
  Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management.
  Analysis and calculation of Foreign Tax Credits, sourcing of income and expenses and completion of the Federal Form 1118.
  Monitor worldwide inter-company transactions including coordination with accounting on recording of inter-company transactions.  Ensure supporting documentation of entries.
  Coordinate with treasury intercompany dividend planning and remittance costs.
  Preparation of APB 23 disclosure, including coordinate with Treasury on providing required documentation.
  Interact with company auditors during quarter and year-end closes.
  Coordinate with accounting on various projects.
  Implementation of IFRS as key tax contact with accounting group.

Required Skills:
    SEC reporting
    CPA, BA/BS
    MS in Taxation (preferred)
    Direct experience with Tax Stream
    MS Office
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Direct experience with Insource (preferred)
    Hyperion (preferred)

Required Experience:
    FAS 109 experience in tax reporting
     US GAAP, IFRS, and statutory differences between local statutory reporting and US GAAP
    15 years in a large multi national company tax department or 15 years in a large multinational CPA firm
    10 years of directly managing multiple direct reports 
    10 years experience in working in team projects
    10 years of direct management and responsibility of projects (preferred)

Salary:
Market and experience with range of 175,000 to 200,000 for director and 200,000 to 225,000 for a senior director, plus 25% bonus, plus stock.
